I remember not long ago tuition at the Academy was around $12,000.
Now it is over $25,000. That is a tremendous sacrifice for most Albuquerque families. If I wanted my child to attend the Academy today, I couldn’t afford it.
The Academy is still a very generous school, and I have friends are able to keep their children at the Academy only because of financial aid. But they are worried. What if the financial aid should dry up?
If my child were enrolled today, I am not sure that we would receive the aid we would need.
Please, trustees, address this problem first. Restore the promise of the mission.
