I’m hoping someone here can point me in the right direction because I’ve been searching for days and I’m still no closer to finding a place I actually trust. My 2016 Honda Accord has been giving me trouble starting in the mornings, nothing dramatic yet but that slow crank sound is definitely getting worse and I know it’s only a matter of time before it leaves me stranded somewhere. I checked the manual and confirmed it takes a 55D23L battery, which apparently is a common Japanese size, but finding somewhere that stocks a decent brand in this specific size has been harder than I expected. I work in Business Bay and I’d really prefer to get it sorted somewhere close to the office rather than driving out to some industrial area on my day off, since my weekends are already packed with family stuff. What I’m really after is a premium 55D23L battery service in Business Bay, somewhere that carries proper brands and doesn’t just try to flog whatever cheap stock they have lying around. I’ve seen a few auto shops around the area but honestly some of them look like they’d sell you a battery that’s been sitting on the shelf for three years and call it new. I’m leaning towards Amaron based on what I’ve read about their performance in this climate, but I’m open to other reputable brands if the shop is genuinely good. The thing I care about most is that they actually test the charging system before and after, clean up the terminals properly, and don’t rush the job. I had a bad experience years ago where a shop fitted a battery without checking the alternator and it died within four months, so I’m a bit scarred from that. Has anyone here actually used a battery service in Business Bay recently and been happy with it? Would love to hear some real experiences rather than just Google reviews, because those can be faked. Also curious what a fair price looks like for this size with installation included.

Just use a mobile fitting service and have them come straight to your office basement parking in Business Bay. A genuine 55D23L Amaron Hi-Life runs around 350 to 420 AED fully installed, and you don’t waste half a weekend sitting around in an industrial garage.

Tell the technician on the phone beforehand that you want alternator charging and starter load tests printed out or shown on the handheld tester before they pack up. If an alternator diode is failing and putting out under 13.8V, the new battery will be flat again in a few months regardless of brand.

The 55D23L is the exact factory spec for the 2.4L Accord, but check if the tray can take an upgraded 85D23L or 90D23L casing. It’s the exact same outer dimensions and reverse-terminal layout, but gives you extra cold cranking amps and reserve capacity for summer A/C load.

Watch them clean the terminal clamps before dropping the new one in. Honda battery posts are bad for building up white acid crust inside the clamp; if they don’t wire-brush that off and slap on dielectric grease, you’ll still get occasional slow cranks from high resistance.

Check the manufacture date code heat-stamped on the top cover before they hook it up. Reputable delivery vans move enough stock that units are under two months old, but if it shows older than 4 or 5 months, make them pull a fresher one off the truck.
